Located in the Catskill Mountain range in New York this is one of the most difficult hikes in the country. With almost 24 miles of hiking and 14,000 feet elevation gain and loss the hike is no joke. The trail covers five peaks over the course of the trek and includes category four and five rock scrambles throughout. Experienced hikers have been known to slow to a pace of a single mile an hour. 

Located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire this hike summits Mt. Washington, the second highest peak on the east coast and home to the worst weather in the country. The current world wind speed record is held by the Mt.Washington observatory at 230mph. Even with good weather this hike will be an extreme challenge as it covers eight other peaks and has 18,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.
