Tim Buchanan has lived his entire life hiding in plain sight, silently fighting his sexuality. After nearly 70 years he has realized that the struggles we face in our own lives can enlighten others as long as we have the strength to share them. Join Tim as he sets out to conquer two of the country's hardest day hikes and the longest trail he's ever known.

 

| WHO IS TIM BUCHANAN? |

To breakdown into simple terms the life that Tim Buchanan has lived and the life he continues to live is near impossible. Born and raised in the small town East Aurora, NY, where he still resides, Tim has lived an accomplished life. Whether it be running his own business, climbing a mountain, working with local youth, or even just lending a helping hand, Tim never settles for giving any less than his best. Even if that includes pieing people in the face.

HIKES
The Devils Path
The Devils Path

Located in the Catskill Mountain range in New York this is one of the most difficult hikes in the country. With almost 24 miles of hiking and 14,000 feet elevation gain and loss the hike is no joke. The trail covers five peaks over the course of the trek and includes category four and five rock scrambles throughout. Experienced hikers have been known to slow to a pace of a single mile an hour. 

The Presidential Traverse
The Presidential Traverse

Located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire this hike summits Mt. Washington, the second highest peak on the east coast and home to the worst weather in the country. The current world wind speed record is held by the Mt.Washington observatory at 230mph. Even with good weather this hike will be an extreme challenge as it covers eight other peaks and has 18,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.
